Celebremos juntos lo que Dios hizo en el 2022
01/05/2023La NGE llega a Bolivia
01/25/2023During 2022 NGE worked hard in carrying out its mission to identify, affirm, equip and mobilize evangelists. In this report you will find much of what took place during the year and the objectives achieved:
Identifying evangelists and building lasting relationships
The Evangelists Meeting with Andrew and Wendy Palau was an incredible time of unity, Word, presence of God and training. The event was held at the church Cristo es el Cambio and was organized by NGE Argentina and NGE Ibero-America.
Andrew and Wendy Palau shared about the importance of preaching the Gospel and the joy it brings. They also opened their hearts in a more intimate talk about how they manage to balance family and ministry.
There were also training workshops on specific topics led by godly and experienced guest speakers.
The Evangelists Congress organized by NGE Colombia under the theme “Generational Evangelism” focused on making known the work of ministries that are of great edification for the church and the way in which they carry out their mission. The objective was to strengthen, from a comprehensive approach, the development and training of the new generations of evangelists that are being raised up in Colombia and Ibero-America, with tools that allow them to do their work more effectively.
There were international speakers. The speakers not only emphasized the importance of obeying the call to the Great Commission, caring for our relationship with God and being constant in the study of the Word, but also the need to disciple the new converts.
Forging new strategic alliances
NGE took part in the IX Annual Assembly of AEL (Latin Evangelical Alliance). Andrew Palau was the preacher on one of the evenings, with the translation of the director of the NGE, Jonatan Proietti, who was also presented as Executive Director of AEL. A plaque of recognition was given to Palau Association as a partner entity.
NGE also partnered with CV (Christian Vision) in “Yo soy Influencia” [I am an Influence], a series of conferences held in Montevideo (Uruguay) and in Buenos Aires (Argentina). This training for pastors, leaders and communicators was conducted with the purpose of responding assertively to the needs of today’s generation and bringing about an impact of mobilization to evangelism.
NGE, along with Palau Association, One Hope, World Vision, Alpha and Steiger partnered with CV to provide speaker panels, workshops, interactive dynamics and free resources to equip the leadership for being changemakers in a constantly evolving generation.
“To be an influential Christian it is necessary to understand our mission. At NGE we have it very clear: It means to raise up an army of evangelists who get connected, be equipped and march on in order to win Ibero-America for Christ.” Jonatan Proietti
Affirming a community of evangelists who connect, encourage and sharpen each other
Jonatan Proietti and Mimí Ciulla (Director and Coordinator of NGE Ibero-America respectively) visited Guatemala to share the vision of NGE. All the planning was carried out thanks to the excellent work that Soé Mancio, director of NGE Guatemala, and his team have been doing for years. They were very active days of hard work that resulted, among other things, in the starting of dozens of Advance Groups throughout Guatemala. There is great expectation for what God will continue to do in the country with this team.
Instagram Lives
During the year, four Instagram livestreams were conducted:
Martita Durán on “Let’s make Jesus viral” talked about how to give everything to God so that He can fulfill His purpose in us.
Lucas Marín on “Falling in love without sinning” talked about relationships and how they can bring you closer or take you away from the most important relationship.
Itiel Arroyo on “Overwhelming Majority” shared about the pain that this generation experiences as a consequence of their sins and how evangelists must find that gap when preaching to them.
Gustavo Gonzalez, coordinator of Dare 2 Share, shared about Hispanic Youth Evangelism Day, an event that combines practical and powerful evangelism training with inspirational worship and community outreach.
Equipping evangelists to perform the task more effectively and efficiently
For this, the NGE has:
- The International Program for Evangelists which is designed to prepare the evangelist in the task of preaching the Gospel, providing theoretical and practical tools to Spanish-speaking youth and adults having a call from God for evangelism.
- 40 evangelists from different countries of Ibero-America reached the goal and received their certificates.
- ADVANCE: the global movement of evangelists who come together to receive teaching, pray for one another, hold each other accountable, commit to evangelism and inspire others to do the same.
- 125 groups and more than 1,000 evangelists were part of this journey in more than 13 Ibero-American countries.
Mobilizing evangelists to proclaim the Gospel
NGE Venezuela had its Meeting Point in person and simultaneously in three different cities. Each one of them was held with the purpose of strengthening the community of NGE evangelists, getting to know each other and being mutually supportive.
The event program was about teaching the vision of the NGE, recognizing the work that each evangelist is doing in their city, being affirmed in the Word and strengthened through interaction in small groups and praying together. At the end, they were motivated to go out into the streets to preach Christ, and many people were able to know the love of Jesus in a practical way.
Pre Festivals
As part of the pre-festival “Sí hay esperanza” in Costa Rica, pastors, evangelists and leaders from different denominations and regions of the country gathered to be ministered to and give their support to the “Festival with Andrew Palau 2023”. In this meeting, Andrew shared his testimony along with a motivational message to work in unity and have a nationwide impact. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the coming of the Festival.
Now You – Argentina
The Youth Committee of the Palau Buenos Aires 2022 Festival promoted several gatherings in four zones of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, encouraging young people to become PROTAGONISTS in this time. The NGE joined in to support, help and contribute to the raising up of a new city-transformer generation through the Gospel. At the same time, the thousands present were invited and trained to be FRIENDS of the FESTIVAL.
Festivals
Manchester
Thousands of people were reached with the Gospel message through the Manchester Festival. Large crowds enjoyed rides and games, the beach, BMX demonstrations and music performances by Lecrae, Matt Redman, Guvna B, among others. Andrew Palau shared the Gospel and Jonatan Proietti was able to translate for him so that the festival could reach the entire Latin world in real time through social media.
Buenos Aires
“Sí hay esperanza” was a friendly celebration for the whole family, where more than 200,000 people gathered over the two days. The core message was delivered by Andrew Palau, who continues the legacy of his father, Luis, together with his wife Wendy.
“God is going to transform your life. He takes charge of your past through the cross of Jesus, he empowers your present with the Holy Spirit, and he secures your future with the promise of eternity in heaven.” Andrew Palau
NGE Retreat – Dominican Republic
October 22, 23 and 24 set a milestone in the life of the NGE. The team leaders from the different countries gathered in the Dominican Republic. It was a wonderful time for sharing, fellowship, devotion and visioning for the future. We had the presence of Desmond Henry, NGE Global Director, who showed a broader vision of the ministry and also shared a devotional that God used to reveal His Spirit with power among all those present. It was also inspiring and encouraging to hear each NGE team give a report on the work they have done over the years. It culminated in a time of special prayer for each of them.
We are very grateful to God for all that we have experienced and all that has happened during the year. Thousands of evangelists were inspired, equipped and mobilized to share the Good News throughout Ibero-America. We look forward to what God will do in 2023.
